RSS

Unpacking the Past: RSS and the British Raj

#DidYouKnow that the RSS, which claims to be a Nationalist Organization, was actually a loyal servant of the British colonial rule?

- The #RSS was founded in 1925 by K B Hedgewar, who was influenced by the Hindu supremacist ideology of V D Savarkar.

- The #RSS did not participate in any of the major freedom movements against the British, such as the Non-Cooperation Movement, the Civil Disobedience Movement, or the Quit India Movement.

- The #RSS leader M S Golwalkar openly praised the British rule and denounced the freedom fighters as "traitors" and "reactionaries".
The #RSS supported the partition of India on communal lines and opposed the creation of a Secular and Democratic Republic.

- The #RSS was banned by the Indian government several times for its role in communal violence and assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

-The #RSS has no moral authority to speak for the Nation.
It is a divisive and reactionary force that seeks to impose a narrow and oppressive version of Hindutva on the diverse and pluralistic people of India. The #RSS is not a patriotic organization, but a British legacy that needs to be exposed and rejected.
